One of the most active television personalities in Philadelphia, Michael Barkann was recognized as Pennsylvania's Sportscaster of the Year in 1999, 2001 and 2002. In addition to hosting Daily News Live, CSN's weekday sports roundtable, Michael often provides reports for SportsNite.

 
Former National Football League Player Beasley Reece became CBS 3's lead sports anchor for Eyewitness News in July, 1998.
 
Scott Palmer joined WPVI-TV as Sportscaster for Action News on March 23, 1981. As a sports reporter with Action News, Scott has covered such memorable events as Villanova's national basketball championship, Mike Schmidt's 500th homerun, and the Eagles fog bowl in Chicago.
 
Dawn Timmeney began her "Dawn Patrol" duties at NBC 10 on January 13, 2003, when she joined the NBC 10 News Today anchor team from 5-7 AM. Dawn started as a reporter in October 2001 before moving to the anchor desk.
 
Gervase Peterson gained national recognition on the first season of CBS's extremely popular reality show, Survivor. Gervase hails from Philadelphia and currently lives in Willingboro, New Jersey where he is a youth basketball coach.
 

Don Cannon has been on Philadelphia radio for the past four decades and hosts Comcast SportsNet's Inside Golf. Don was the Honorary Chairman of the Variety Club Tournament and remains a promoter of the Philadelphia Section of the PGA of America.

 

Marc Zumoff is in his 11th season as the Sixers television play-by-play announcer and his 23rd as a part of the 76ers broadcast team. Zumoff, a Philadelphia native, has been honored with an Emmy for best sports play-by-play broadcaster eight of the past 12 years, including this year.

 

Gary Dornhoefer was an all-star during the 1972-73 NHL season and ranks 11th on the Flyers’ career list in goals (202), ninth in assists (316), eighth in points (518), and seventh in games (725). In March 1991, he was inducted into the Flyers Hall of Fame.

 
Bob Kelly was a member of both Stanley Cup winning Flyers teams. He scored the game-winning goal in the 2-0 win over the Buffalo Sabres in Game Six on May 27, 1975. He still ranks among the top 10 of several Flyers all-time records.
 
Known for his role as Noah Hunter on Beverly Hills 90210, Vincent Young had a recurring role in the television series Pacific Blue and also appeared in a national commercial for Miller Genuine Draft. His film credits include roles in the independent features A Modern Affair and The Bag.
 
Bobby Shantz was a Major League Baseball pitcher for the Philadelphia Athletics, Kansas City Athletics, New York Yankees, Pittsburgh Pirates, Houston Colt.45's, St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Cubs, and the Philadelphia Phillies.
 
An award-winning golf writer with the Philadelphia Daily News, Mike Kern is also very visible on the Daily News Live television show on Comcast SportsNet. He also is a regular contributor to the Tee'd Off segment of the Inside Golf television show.
